How to sign a PDF on your phone without printing

A ready-to-sign PDF does not need a print–sign–photo round trip. Review the complete file, place the marks deliberately and retain the downloaded result. These steps describe DocAISign’s browser workflow; file-picker and download menus vary between phones and browsers.

DocAISign paid checkout is not currently enabled. Self-signing is free; check your available sends and the Pricing page before planning a request.

Prepare a complete PDF

Save the file somewhere your phone’s picker can access. For a Word document, export a PDF first if the site asks for one. Confirm that the version is final and every page is included. A photograph of just the signature page leaves the rest outside that scan.

Self-signing is free and needs no registration. DocAISign processes the PDF on its server to create the signed copy; it is not a local-only editor. Read the privacy and retention information before uploading sensitive documents.

Upload and inspect every page

Choose Upload a file and select the PDF. Read every page before placing a signature, checking orientation, small print and any existing marks. If a page fails to display, use the retry control. Avoid refreshing while changes are still pending.

Temporary upload failures offer Retry upload using the selected file. A protected or damaged PDF needs a corrected copy instead. Retrying cannot remove a password or restore pages absent from the original.

Place your signatures and dates

Choose Me, select Signature and tap its intended location. Drag to move the box and use its corner to resize. Open the box, draw or type your mark, then adopt it. Activate each signature box separately. Date boxes fill when signing completes.

Signer boxes belong to another person and prevent self-signing the whole document. For a document you sign alone, assign all boxes to yourself. Keyboard users can move focused boxes with arrow keys and use Shift for larger steps.

Wait for saving before finishing

Check the save status before choosing Sign and download. If a mark could not be saved, use Retry saving and keep the page open. A leave warning protects pending work; it does not mean the upload or signature has completed.

Adopting a mark inside a box and finishing the document are separate actions. The final action creates the downloadable signed PDF and audit record. If a response is lost after submission, the page checks server state before reporting failure.

Keep both records

Download the signed PDF and audit record, find them in the browser downloads list or file manager, and open the PDF. Check every intended signature. Keep the unsigned original separately if you need it.

Stored files are automatically removed after the configured retention period. Save your own copies before the displayed date. Audit information records events and fingerprints; it does not independently verify legal identity.
