Paper & delivery

Sign a PDF, then fax it to Canada or the US

Signing and fax delivery are separate steps. Create and inspect the completed signed PDF, then upload that downloaded copy to a fax service your recipient accepts. DocAISign links to FaxHub, but does not automatically transfer the document or send the fax.

DocAISign paid checkout is not currently enabled. Self-signing is free; check your available sends and the Pricing page before planning a request.

Finish signing before preparing the fax

Complete required signatures and dates, then download the signed PDF. If another person must sign, wait for the completed result rather than faxing the unsigned original. Open the download and check page count, orientation and legibility.

Keep the audit record for your own files. Ask whether the recipient needs it in the fax; including it adds pages and may disclose event details. Check faint text and small handwriting because fax conversion can reduce their clarity.

Prepare the separate FaxHub hand-off

FaxHub presents pay-per-fax delivery to Canada and the US. Its current site directs preparation, account verification, checkout and tracking to RichFax on richscripts.com. Review that destination and its current requirements.

Choose the signed PDF you downloaded. Opening FaxHub alone does not transfer it, its private signing link or audit record. The fax workflow may require a separate account, payment and delivery process.

Check the number and final price

Confirm the fax number directly with the recipient, including area/country codes and any cover-sheet reference. Preview every uploaded page before payment. Check live file/page limits, additional-page charges, taxes and failure/refund terms.

A cover sheet can route a document inside an office but cannot correct a wrong number. Include only information needed to identify the recipient and purpose. Avoid unnecessary sensitive details in the cover message.

Keep delivery and signing records separately

Retain the signed PDF, audit record and available fax delivery report. They describe different events: the signing workflow, the file you saved and the transmission. A successful transmission does not establish that a particular employee read or accepted the document.

For deadlines or prescribed submission methods, confirm whether fax is accepted and what evidence the recipient needs. If delivery fails, check status and the service’s instructions before paying for another attempt.

Final review

  • Use the completed signed PDF rather than the unsigned upload.
  • Confirm every required page is readable in the fax preview.
  • Verify the destination number and recipient details.
  • Review the total and the separate service’s terms before payment.
  • Save the available delivery report with your signing records.
