Scan paper to PDF and sign it on your phone
A useful scan starts with a readable photograph. Get the pages flat, keep every corner visible and remove shadows before combining them. DocAISign turns selected photos into a PDF you can review and sign. It does not perform OCR or rewrite the text.
DocAISign paid checkout is not currently enabled. Self-signing is free; check your available sends and the Pricing page before planning a request.
Photograph all pages first
Use a darker, flat surface and even lighting. Keep the phone parallel to the page and include all four corners. Check small print and glare over reference numbers or signature areas. Better lighting often helps faint text more than strong contrast enhancement.
Use Take a photo when supported, or Choose photos for existing images. Camera and format support vary by device and browser. If an image will not open, make a JPEG or PNG copy. Include the whole document, not only its signature page.
Adjust corners and orientation
Review each photo before accepting it. Keep the corner circles around the page without crossing its edges. Rotate sideways photos first. If automatic detection cuts away text, move the corners outward or use the whole-photo option.
Black-and-white enhancement increases contrast, but color may matter for a stamp, highlight or handwritten mark. Turn it off when those details matter. Transparent images are placed on white before conversion so their JPEG background does not become black.
Check order and recover accidental removals
Use up/down controls to arrange accepted pages. Check numbering, front/back pairs and attachments. Undo removal restores the most recently removed page; use it before deleting another. Keep the original photos on your device in case you later leave the browser tab.
Undo does not bypass page or size limits. If you added new pages after a removal, you may need to make room to restore the old one. Before generating the PDF, read the thumbnails as a complete packet rather than checking each photo in isolation.
Review the generated PDF again
Choose Create PDF & continue after every selected photo is reviewed. Wait for upload and PDF creation. A failed upload retains accepted pages in the open tab for another attempt; refreshing or closing the tab can discard that work.
Inspect the PDF before adding signatures. Wide pages and long receipts should retain their proportions. A readable preview cannot restore text that was blurred or outside the photo. Return to the original images if essential content is missing.
Sign and keep your copy
Place signature and date boxes after page order is final. Sign yourself, or assign boxes to one recipient and send from a confirmed account. Download both the signed PDF and audit record when complete.
For an organization that requires a particular resolution, original document or signature procedure, check before relying on a phone scan. A convenient PDF workflow does not guarantee acceptance by every recipient.
