Signeasy or browser PDF signing: do you need a mobile app?

A phone signature can happen in a dedicated app or a browser. The important question is which workflow handles your document from import to a completed file you can find again. Do not judge the choice only by how a signature looks on screen.

A comparison by the maker of DocAISign, based on official product documentation. We have not independently tested every competitor or verified every plan. Product names belong to their owners.

DocAISign paid checkout is not currently enabled. Self-signing is free; check your available sends and the Pricing page before planning a request.

What Signeasy’s mobile workflow covers

Signeasy’s mobile page describes iOS and Android apps for signing, filling and sending documents, including additional input types and in-person collection. Those capabilities matter if you regularly prepare forms or collect signatures on a device. Verify which features are included in the plan and platform you intend to use.

Check the transition between phone and desktop

Signeasy’s web-app help describes using the same credentials and accessing documents across mobile and web. Test your own account and document path rather than assuming a downloaded local file, an app copy and a cloud record are all the same version.

What a browser-only request changes

DocAISign runs in the browser and does not require an app for the recipient. Self-signing can be anonymous; sending needs a confirmed sender account and available sends. It supports signature/date boxes for you and one other recipient on an existing PDF or scan.

It has no general text form editor, template library or dedicated in-person signing mode. A phone-friendly page is not a claim of offline support. Keep a working connection and do not leave an in-progress scan or upload before it completes.

Test the whole round trip

  • Start with a fictional attachment saved in the location you normally use.
  • Open it through the app or browser import path and verify page count and orientation.
  • Check whether required text, checkbox and initials fields are supported.
  • Complete the recipient flow on a separate controlled device or session.
  • Download the completed PDF and find it again in your device’s file storage.

Keep the device role clear

A personal app account, a sender’s shared tablet and a recipient’s own browser have different access implications. Decide whose account and device will hold the records. Do not forward a private invitation to another person or treat it as a reusable public signing link.

For repeated in-person collection, evaluate a product with that explicit workflow. For one person signing a prepared PDF remotely, test the browser request directly. In either case, save the completed file and available record before temporary access expires.

Choose the smallest workflow that meets the requirement

Consider Signeasy when mobile preparation and app-based collection are central to the work. Consider DocAISign when signature/date fields, one recipient and a connected browser are sufficient. Check actual feature access and export behaviour before relying on either for a live document.
