BreezeDoc vs DocAISign: free plan, lifetime deal or pay per send?
BreezeDoc and DocAISign both avoid the usual seat-based subscription for occasional senders, but they charge in different ways. Compare what you will actually send in a year, and what each workflow does with the file, before choosing on price alone.
A comparison by the maker of DocAISign, based on official product documentation. We have not independently tested every competitor or verified every plan. Product names belong to their owners.
DocAISign paid checkout is not currently enabled. Self-signing is free; check your available sends and the Pricing page before planning a request.
BreezeDoc offers a free plan and one-time licences
BreezeDoc’s pricing page lists a free plan with no credit card, two one-time licences sold through AppSumo (Individual and Agency), and a Pro subscription billed monthly or yearly. Its pricing FAQ says there is no monthly document limit on any plan.
The plans differ in reminders, branding, bulk-send batch size, public signing links, team size and webhooks. The pricing table lists reminders as not included on the free plan, while the homepage describes automatic reminders for scheduled sends without naming a plan. Confirm the current table for the features you need.
Check the sending limits that still apply
An unlimited-documents headline is not the same as having no rate limits. BreezeDoc’s developer documentation mentions a daily sending limit for new teams and separate per-day and per-hour caps for API sends. If you plan a busy week, ask how those limits apply to your account.
Files, fields and recipients
BreezeDoc accepts PDF, Word, Excel and image uploads and converts them to PDF before you add fields. Its FAQ gives a 5 MB upload figure. It supports several recipients with a signing order, templates, bulk send, public signing links, and fields such as initials, text, checkbox and dropdown.
DocAISign is narrower: signature and date boxes for you and one other recipient, PDF uploads up to 20 MB and 100 pages, and phone photos combined into a PDF. Word files should be saved as PDF first. There are no templates, bulk requests, public signing links or multi-recipient routing.
Compare the completion record
BreezeDoc describes an activity page at the end of each completed document with sent, opened and signed times, the signer, a partly masked IP address and browser. DocAISign delivers a separate audit record with event times, IP addresses and SHA-256 fingerprints of the original and signed files, so a copy can be compared with the record.
Neither approach is identity verification. BreezeDoc’s own comparison page lists no SMS delivery or signer ID checks, and DocAISign does not verify identity or issue certificate-based signatures.
Read the content and retention terms
Before uploading private agreements to any service, read how long documents are kept, how deletion works and what licence the terms grant over your content. BreezeDoc’s terms and privacy policy describe content rights, backups and AI processing for some features. DocAISign publishes its file retention periods on its privacy page and deletes files automatically after them, keeping the audit record.
Which model fits your next year
- A handful of one-recipient requests: compare a free plan with buying sends only when needed.
- Repeated documents, several signers or bulk sends: BreezeDoc’s templates and batches may save preparation.
- Payment collection, public links or a branded domain: check BreezeDoc’s paid tiers.
- A fingerprint you can check yourself and published deletion: compare the audit records side by side.
- Either way, test with a fictional two-page PDF before sending a real one.
